September 13, 2011 By Fr. John 5 Comments

by Nun Nectaria (McLees) Hieromonk Deiniol, the sole native Welsh Orthodox priest, the founder of the Wales Orthodox Mission, and pastor of the Church of All Saints in the North Wales mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog, traveled with Road to Emmaus magazine in 2009 to ancient and little-known pre-schism shrines of the Welsh countryside. I had spent the previous 14 years with the Vineyard and was very involved there; and previous to that about […]

Emilie’s Way To Orthodoxy: A French Tale of Finding the True Church of Christ

July 19, 2011 By Fr. John 6 Comments

And just as the lent was starting, I met an orthodox friend on facebook living in Jakarta and I asked him if I could go to the church with him. At this time, I felt finally that I wanted to be converted to orthodoxy. My soul was crying to become an Orthodox Christian; all the words of the prayers became so holy. So now, it’s just obvious I really want to become an Orthodox.
