The Catechumens of Lewistown, MD

On the evening of April 10, 2009, the Eve of Lazarus Saturday and the Feast of St. Leo of Rome, twenty-six catechumens from the newly formed St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Lewistown, Maryland were chrismated and received into the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America at Ss. Peter and Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church in Potomac, Maryland. Episcopal Congregation Embraces Orthodox Faith

A new Orthodox Christian church is forming in north Oklahoma City. Mark Wallace, a former Charismatic Episcopal priest, is leading his former congregants through becoming an Orthodox Christian congregation. Wallace and many members of his former Holy Trinity Charismatic Episcopal Church are taking classes and attending services at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 15000 N May. “I have no doubt in my mind that Orthodoxy has something to offer in American life. Convert Parish To Be Received

Bishop Thomas  of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of North America is scheduled to receive by Chrismation, the membership of the Western Rite Mission in Warrenton, Virginia at 7.00 pm on Friday the 30th of March at Christ Church, 95 Green Street, Warrenton. Fr. Nicholas Alford, Rector of Saint Gregory the Great Western Rite Parish in Washington D.C. has been catechising this convert parish until their clergyman, the Reverend Patrick Cardine is Ordained Priest.
