By now you have probably seen that we are just over 10% of the way towards our 2017 fundraising goal. You can see our daily progress in the graphic on the right.
We’re asking you to step up and help us out. Can you give a $1,000 gift?
Can you be one of the many $100 donors?
Can you offer even $33? What about a recurring donation?
We really want to reach this goal for the year, which will help us advance our outreach. “How?” you say? What will my donation actually do?
Hosting. We need a robust enough hosting plan to support the highest spikes in traffic we ever get so we don’t crash during those moments and ruin our chances of connecting with inquirers.
MailChimp. The service we use to email posts out to the subscription list. This fee grows as the email list grows. We are way over our limit of subscribers, so without more support, we cannot connect with our own members as we need to. We just can’t do it without more help.
Ongoing web development. It’s a website, so there are always upsetting glitches coming out of nowhere and occasionally, we add a new site feature. Our programming skills are limited, so we rely on vendors to keep things from getting wonky, and making sure that the site is working as smoothly as possible. We are currently way overdue for a website redesign. It’s starting to effect our readers, and their comments!
Facebook post “boosts”. When we announce a new post on Facebook, this makes sure that the announcement gets onto 1/3 or 1/2 of our Facebook followers’ News Feeds. We’ve had some early success with this, and we’d like to cautiously expand. It helps us reach those who didn’t know we are here for them.
Our time is filled with calls, emails, texts, and chats with those who want to become Orthodox, need someone to ask questions of, and want recommendations for reading. We are at our limit to provide it.
Your donations will help us do it all. You don’t need a paypal account, just a debit or credit card.
Join us today, and help us reach our goal for the year!
