Baptism of 184 in Meocan, Salasang and Sto. Nino, Arakan Cotabato

On December 17, 2015, a mass baptism was held in a river for the catechumens of 3 former communities of the Philippine Independent Catholic Church (Aglipayan) in Meocan; Salasang, and Sto. Nino, all in Arakan Valley, Cotabato, who embraced Orthodoxy after almost 2 years of catechism.

The mass baptism was officiated by Fr. Kirill. 184 individuals are baptized on this memorable occassion.

    I too am a Catechumen! Such a comforting feeling to come to this sight and be reminded that I am not alone in this world! Sometimes being a Catechumen, it can be lonely to reject my former Christianity, and to also not be fully communed with the Church.

    No, you’re not alone – far, far from it. It is a formative time you are in, and like any time of formation, can seem very lonely – but I assure you, you have millions praying for you, and you always have someone to talk to here.
