Patriarch Kirill sends Paraguay its own priest. He was sent by the decision of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia for giving pastoral care to the community of the Protection Church, press service of the Synodal Department for Church, Society and Media Relations reports. The priest celebrated a liturgy there and talked to the members of the parochial community. Russian emigrants set up a parish of the South-American Diocese of the Russian Church Abroad in 1924 with the help of Metropolitan Anthony (Khrapovitsky) and local Orthodox community, which consisted of Arabs and Serbs. Onion-domed Russian Orthodox Church rises south of Rogue River

A replica of the beautiful cathedrals he visited during his pilgrimages through Russia, the new church will be a bit of “heaven on earth," he says. Largest Orthodox Church in Central Asia Opened in Kyrgyzstan

The Church of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir, the largest in Central Asia, was consecrated and officially opened on Thursday, the local diocesan press service told Interfax. Head of the Central Asian Metropolitan District, Metropolitan Vikenty of Tashkent and Uzbekistan lead the consecration. Hierarchs from Uzbekistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Turkmenia participated in the ceremony, and officials from the presidential and governmental administration and diplomatic missions also attended.
